>scouted #2o15 - group show
12 September - 28 September, 2015

>french art studio is constantly scouting for talents, aiming at picking unseen art of great quality. This year again, Scouted#2o15 is proud to welcome fantastic new joiners to the gallery selection; Agnes Baillon, Yoakim Belanger, Jean-Marc Calvet and Pedro Correa.

This group show will showcase key artworks by these four significant French contemporary artists who are exhibiting in the UK for the first time.

With her ‘little men’, made of bronze, resin, or papier maché and their non-idealized body type French sculptor Agnes Baillon lets the spectator with a feeling of strangeness and wonder.

Pedro Correa's photographs are influenced by Impressionism. His work aims at embedding the emotions of painting into the ‘decisive moment’ of photography. His photographs revolve around the intimate beauty that he sees in cities

Jean-Marc Calvet is a self-taught artist who began painting at a point in his life of extreme crisis. Painting truly saved him - by catharsis and rebirth. His style is brute, provocative, high energy.

Yoakim Bélanger works on raw materials (aluminium, steel, mirror) that have not yet been affected by human contact but hold the traces of passing time. The artist depicts humanity in a fashion that is beyond merely the physical but exposes via different textured layers what is within the body: strength, passion and grace.

Join us for the preview on Saturday 12 September from 4pm to discover our fascinating selection.
