Jef Aerosol grew up with this idea of an art with no limit. Just like music cannot be stopped by a wall, painting should live in the open. Jef Aerosol collaborated to the street art movement from its early beginning in France in 1982 when he first painted walls across the city of Tours - joining the likes of pioneer street artists Blek Le Rat, Miss Tic and Speedy Graphito.
Today, his spray paint stencils can be seen all around the world - often intimate portrays with great humanity and always signed with a red arrow. From Tokyo to London, Berlin to Chicago and Ushuaia, Jef Aerosol presents the beauty of his art on an open canvas.
Jef Aerosol works and lives in Lille in the North of France. He is considered by art critics as a key founder of European street art. His art is present in many private collections, regularly auctioned in Paris, London and New York, and is also exhibited in numerous galleries and museums.
one another is the latest show of Jef Aerosol in London, presenting a large number of recent and older stencils on cardboard and canvas, showing a mix of famous and anonymous people. The opening reception was on January 28th.
